UP

Hi all! Belated happy hearts day everyone! ♥♥♥ Hope you had a lovely valentine, as for me I'm very very happy.. ☻ Anyway, Summer is fast approching here in the Philippines... It's very hot here nowadays. For summer nails, I made a simple mani using dried flowers. If you wish to buy some of them, Born Pretty have lots of nail art stuff including dried flowers. I love dried flowers so much. It looks like a lil'garden on my nails. I got the idea of hot air balloon from thriszha, I remember she made a manicure using this image plate last year. I also used konad m57 i.p. cloud design. It reminds me of the Disney movie "Up", my son love that movie so much that he used to watch it every night before going to sleep. He likes Kevin the big bird and the kid named Russell was so cute!
I like the finished product, it's really meant for summer.. Hope you like it too! God Bless you all!!
P.S.

Valentine's Day Nail Designs

Surprising your soul-mate with a new look for Valentine's day is undoubtedly one of the smartest choices you can make. Looking spectacular requires paying attention the smallest details as well as selecting elements that highlight your personality while also being appropriate for this special occasion. Choosing the right nail design is perhaps the simplest and most versatile changes you can do so make sure to schedule your pampering session wisely and browse through the great variety of nail designs available to pick your favorites.

Without a doubt femininity and romance are the main elements that add interest to the nail designs inspired by the romantic holiday. The great variety of motifs that can be used to create an eye catching nail design tend to be an excellent starting point. Hearts are probably the most popular nail art motif used due to the fact that they are relatively easy to create and reflect the spirit of the holiday with ease. However, other symbols such as roses, arrows or Cupid angel can also be used by those who are skilled when it comes to nail art and have enough patience to do so.

My nails #18: Valentines nails...take 2

Hi everyone! So Valentines day is on it's way...anyone doing anything special? Seems like no one I've spoken to does anything anymore on the big heart day. Hm, too bad. My hubby is not big on it either and I HATE THAT! He says that it should be Valentines day everyday, but let's be serious. We have 2 kids that are 5 and 2 years old, he works at night and I work during the day and when we are home together it's the end of the night and all we do is eat and watch an hour of telly and then off to bed to start all over again. (Rant much?) So I love that there's a day when you can lay it all out the line and just love the person your with, cuz sometimes we forget in all the busy-ness. *sigh* I guess I've got the rest of my life to convince him of that (o_O) Good luck with that one.

On to something that will cheer me up is nails! I posted a set last week of a set I had for a few weeks. Now this set didn't last very long cuz they were too long and pointy for me to sport at work (I'd end up clawing someone during a leg/foot massage). But I loved them all the same...they were a tribute to the Illamasqua Throb collection nails (click to enlarge the pic):

Illamasqua I'm coming to see you and all your makeup and nail polish very soon! Me and the fams have booked a flight to England in early March for the hubs' birthday so he can celebrate with his family and friends :) yay. And I get to party with him...and shop too. lol.

Actually, the reason I made these nails so long and pointy (they don't look as point here as they did in real life...I think it's the angle of the pic) is cuz I went out to a burlesque show for a birthday party with some friends. I thought they'd be perfect little accessories. Oh and I went to get my hair done at the cutest hair salon called East Vanity Parlour. Seriously, click the link and check out the gallery. They specialize in 50's updos and did the birthday girl's hair too. The most amazing victory rolls ever.

Well, that's it for this week. Hope you guys enjoyed! Oh and Happy Valentine's Day :D

Lucky 6

Hi all, 4 days to go before vday! That is also our wedding anniversary! We're celebrating our 6th year as husband and wife.. I really love him so much..For me everyday is special when we're together.. My mani has something to do with our anniversary. I'm not chinese but I love this design very much. One of my fb friend told me that the real meaning of this design in chinese language is "happy, best wishes, and lucky". Sometimes it is used on wedding invitations.. I didn't add that much layering stamp to see the real character of the nail polish.
1st, I applied black with holographic glits n.p as base coat,
Then I used red holo glits on one side, and sally hansen hidden treasure on the other side. I sponged white n.p on the center, and I stamped it with h19 i.p. I used dark red s.p for stamping..Hope you like it! ☻
Btw, I won on nail art express. Thanks to all those who voted for me.
I also received a gift which came from Bless, I really like them all. Thank you very much sis! ♥

Sleeved Black Dresses

Different Styles of Black Dress Shirts
Sleeved Black Dresses
There are many different ways you can wear a black dress shirt. The most common you will find among men is the button down with a collar. You can get a short sleeve version or a long sleeve version, whichever you choose. I have seen people wear just the black dress shirts that are button down and have long sleeves or the short sleeves that are button down. It all depends on your style and look that you want. I have seen lots of people wear black shirts that are just polo's with 2 buttons and they look great. I have some of them myself, there is really no specific rule to what you can do or wear with a black dress shirt.

Sleeved Black Dresses
I personally like all dress shirts that are button down. There is much more professionalism in that look if you ask me. People will take you more seriously if you are a business man if you wear a long button down shirt vs. short sleeve polo. You can even wear a white suite with a black dress shirt. I have seen so many things done or what we might call attempted with a black dress shirt that it is amazing.

Sleeved Black Dresses
I have seen a guy wear white pants and white dress shoes with a black shirt. I thought it looked really good and so did a few other people, my significant other say it didn't look to good. I think it just might have been the individual that it didn't look good on. She told me she would like it on me. Anyways, just keep in mind you want to wear a shirt with buttons.

Sleeved Black Dresses
If you wanted to know who invented the black dress shirt I will give you one guess. Here's a hint, they have been around for over 100 years. They sell a lot of shirts today and they are very fairly priced. Brooks Brothers out of NYC have been around forever and a day.
Sleeved Black Dresses
A shirt has a few things that you want to make sure you look for. It should have some of the collar that will be pleated along with the sleeves. Make sure you also look to see that it has all the buttons on it when you buy it. Try a shirt on and if you can't then get the person there to measure you. If you go to Ross or somewhere like that then you are probably not going to be able to get someone there to measure you. If you have an in-law that can do it or even ask your mother. The department stores will measure you for free so you might wait till they have a sale and go to Belk's to buy a shirt.
