I've got swatches of essence new Tend Edition called Fruity (April 2012) to show you. I'm really excited to show you these polishes because I love them so much! This collection is made of 5 spring and fruit inspired polishes. I got 4 of them because the last shade (02 peach beauty) was already sold out, which doesn't bother me so much since I wanted the 4 I was able to purchase!
upper row l-r: 05 mashed berries, 03 very cherry, lower row l-r: 04 one kiwi a day…, 01 banana joe. |
Let's start with 05 mashed berries (yeah, I start with #5!). 05 mashed berries is a medium pink cream packed with tiny fuchsia/purple glitters. The pink has some blue/purple undertones although it's not always so obvious...I also took a picture under natural light to show you the difference of color you can get for the base color. All pictures are color accurate, it's just that the base color look a little different according to the lightening.
I used 3 coats. Application was easy and flawless.

03 very cherry is close to 05 mashed berries when you hold the bottles together. The base color is not so different (they are both pink) and you have the same glitters in both polishes. However, once on the nail, you can see 03 very cherry has a light pearl finish and there is more coral-peach in its base color.
I used 3 coats. Application was easy and flawless.
Next is 04 one kiwi a day… It's a gorgeous pastel green cream packed with tiny green glitters. There is also a yellow shimmer in it. It's a gorgeous gorgeous polish! and it really looks like a kiwi!
I used 3 coats although 2 would have been enough. Application was easy and flawless.
And finally is 01 banana joe. It's a pastel yellow cream with a pearl finish and a gorgeous shimmer. It's a very light yellow and I just love it! I've already worn it several times and used it as a base color for another mani that I'll show you soon.
I used 3 coats. Application was a little more difficult than the 3 other polishes but it was still very manageable and easy.
I am so happy with this collection! I love pastel and cream polishes and these ones are just perfect. They scream spring and are really fruit-looking! 04 one kiwi a day… really looks like a kiwi! essence did an awesome job with this polish! 03 very cherry is not a exactly like a cherry but I don't really care because I love the polish! 05 mashed berries is also a perfect spring cream. I love how the specks add fun while keeping a clean and soft look. Finally 01 banana joe is lovely. I so love light yellows at the moment! And I love the shimmer in it! In conclusion, I love this collection a lot and I'm super happy I was able to get it! :D I wanted to buy a back up for 01 banana joe but this collection is already not available any more in my city. So if you're lucky to find it, don't hesitate to grab one or more!
