SNB Graffiti Nails

Hello!

I did this manicure as part of the Sunday Nail Battle, which is organised by Odile from Odile Sacoche, and Andreia from 10tubes, with also the participation of Pshiiit, whose you must all know!

The theme of this week was Graffiti nails and we had to use neon polishes.
So here is what I came up with.

As we had to use neon polishes, I took out of my draw the mini set of neon polishes that OPI has recently launched. There are 4 colors in it: yellow (Ridiculously Yellow), orange (Formidably Orange), pink (Riotously Pink), and purple (Seriously Purple) plus a white base polish and a clear top coat.

For the first manicure I tried, I used the mani I showed you yesterday as a base. You can see it HERE. I wanted to recreate a sort of a wall...
Then I wanted to do a splatter mani with the neon polishes but I didn't have any straw at home. So I dediced to use a pen instead. I had seen someone using it to in nail art. Sorry I don't remember where I saw this so I cannot credit. If someone knows, tell me, please, and I'll add it here.

Here is  a small tutorial to show you how I did it.

The second manicure I tried. I first applied a base coat of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as a white base and then I randomly applied some drops of neon on top to create a pattern. When it was dried, I stamped with Konad special polish in black and image plate m72.

Haha I would never wear such manicures to go out. It's too exuberant for me but it was fun to do as part of the Sunday Nail Battle! :D

You can see the participations of all the girls in the comment section of Odile, 10 tubes, and Pshiiit.

Lac Attack - Rydell Forever

Hello!!

I got another gorgeous Lac Attack polish to show. It's Rydell Forever! This polish was inspired by Grease, the musical, in the same way as other polishes from Lac Attack that you can see here

Rydell Forever is a red and white glitter inspired by Rydell High's school colors. This polish is jam packed with red and white hexes and bar glitters - perfect for showing off school spirit or your love for Grease.

For this manicure, I layered one coat of Rydell forever over 2 coats of OPI DS Coronation. You can see swatches of DS Coronation here.

One coat of Lac Attack Rydell Forever over 2 coats of OPI DS Coronation.

Final verdict: Rydell Forever by Lac Attack is a gorgeous glitter polish packed with large red and white hexagonal and bar gliltters. The formula of the polish is nice, the glitters are well suspended in the base and do not sink at the bottom of the bottle and application was easy. I had some of the red bar glitters that curled a little while applying them but I gently pushed them down with an orange stick and they did remain flat afterwards. I wore this manicure for 4 days and I didn't have any of the glitters that curled any more! So eventually that was not a problem. I love how simple yet intersting this polish look and especially love it with OPI DS Coronation.

Lac Attack - Hell on Heels

Hello!

Who doesn't love matte glitters? In fact, the polish I'll show you today is my very first matte glitter nail polish and I'm really excited because it's gorgeous! This polish is Hell on Heels by Lac Attack.

The following pictures are 1 coat of Lac Attack - Hell on Heels over 2 coats of Douglas - Sara.

1 coat of Lac Attack - Hell on Heels over 2 coats of Douglas - Sara.

I also tried to get a denser look with 3 coats of glitter.

3 coats of Lac Attack - Hell on Heels over 2 coats of Douglas - Sara.

Final verdict: Yay~ This polish is a total winner! I love how cherrful it looks! You can achieve a softer look with only one coat of glitter or a denser style with 3 coats. I'm into softer look at the moment, so I prefer with only one coat of glitter. I've been wearing it since a few days and I'm not getting bored of it at all! It's so pretty! This polish will look quite different according to the base color you chose. You can see for example a manicure that Jen from The PolishAholic did here. It looks quite different, doesn't it? So it's a very versatile polish. You can achieve so many different looks with it! Application was a real dream! I'm super happy with this polish!

Lac Attack - Grease Lightning

Hello!

I hope you all had a great weekend!
I have another gorgeous Lac Attack polish to show you today. A few days ago, I show you Pink Lady. If you missed it, you can click here to be led to its blog post.

Grease Lightning is an amazing silver holographic glitter polish.
It contains silver holographic glitters in all shapes and sizes: hexes, diamonds, squares, and teeny tiny bars/tinsel.

This polish is inspired by the musical Grease by the way :D

1 coat of Lac Attack Grease Lightning over 2 coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Final verdict: I wanted to go for a rather soft look because I had a formal meeting but I didn't want to wear something too common. So I decided to use a light and enjoyable base polish, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, which is a soft white polish with a touch of grey in it, and then I added 1 thin coat of a silver holographic glitter polish, Grease Lightining from Lac Attack. I love how subtle yet fascinating this polish look like! The glitters are rather small except for some large hexagonal, squar, and diamond glitters. They all reflect the light in a rainbow of colors. Application was nice and the glitters easy to get on the nails. They are also well suspended in the base polish so that they don't settle at the bottom of the bottle. I'm really enjoying this combo :D

Lac Attack - Pink Lady

Hello!!

Do you remember the Lac Attack polishes I show you some days ago? If you don't, click here, please.
So today I have Lac Attack Pink Lady to show you!

1 coat of Lac Attack Pink Lady over 2 coats of OPI A-Taupe The Space Needle.

Final verdict: Pink Lady is my very first Lac Attack polish. I must say I am really enthusiast about the pink glitters because I don't know many polishes with pink glitters! Pink Lady is a clear base polish packed with black, white, and pink glitters in different sizes and shapes. There are some hex and square glitters. The different colors go really well together and I also love the overall look of the polish. The glitters are not too big and this makes this polish easy to wear because it looks soft and not too in-your-face. I had a lot of compliments on this manicure while wearing it :D
Application was easy, the forumla of the polish is great and it's easy to get a lot of glitters on your brush without needing to go fishing for the glitters. I also love the combo with the brown base of OPI A-Taupe The Space Needle. I think pink and brow look cool together, don't they?

Snow Angel

Hello!!

Snow Angel by Lynnderella is problably one of the polishes I wanted the most when I first saw swatches of it! So I was super happy when I got it!

I layered it over 3 coats OPI Don't Touch My Tutu!, a dreamy white jelly.

Final verdict: The name of this polish is just so perfect. It looks so etheral, it could have been made in heaven. In another way, it also looks like some snow that is falling on your nails. It's a very delicate and sophisticated polish in my opinion. There are tones of glitters but it still look elegant because the glitters are not the in-your-face type of glitters. Here I perhaps overdid it because I used 3 coats of Snow Angel. I kept adding and adding glitters because I was so fascinated by them lol I think 1 thick coat or 2 thinner coats would have done the job as well! As with most Lynnderella, the formula was a real dream and the polish was easy to apply.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Snow Angel is a milky base (so it's not a clear base) packed with small and medium hexagonal, and medium squre glitters.

Purchase info

Hello Kitty WD

Hello!

I'm super happy to show this mani today! I used Douglas Absolute Nails -Sara for the base. You can see my review of this polish here. Then, I used water decals from KKCenterHK. If you don't know this online shop, I highly suggest you click on the link and see what they have in store because they have great nail art products and nail polishes! :D

Look, how great it looks on the nails! It's like if I had written it with a pen! It doesn't look like a sticker or something like that.

Final verdict: Yay!! I'm so enthusiastic about these water decals! They looks so great and they were super easy to apply on the nails! Moreover, their lasting power was great! I kept them for 4 days and they were still nice and perfectly sticked as on the frist day! I really love these water decals. They are metallic so they don't look like cheap stickers you would stick on your nails. It looks really nice!
You can find them here.

Water decals application: You have to cut your pattern from the sheet of water decals. With tweezers, plunge your pattern in water for about 30 seconds. Take it out and peel it off from its support. If it's difficult to peel it off, plunge it again in water until you can easily peel it off. Then apply it on your nail and seal with a top coat.

Douglas - Sara

Hello!

At the end of last year, Douglas released a new line of polishes called Absolute Nails. Some of them are said to be dupes for famous Chanel polishes and all the colors look really pretty.
I chose a white polish with a strong gold shimmer, called Sara 07.
All the photos are taken under artificial light, without flash.

Douglas Absolute Nails - Sara 07.

Final verdict: I felt in love with this classic, clean, and elegant polish. It's a white pearl polish with a really strong gold shimmer. When I was applying it, I was wondering if it was not rather a light gold polish with a white base. It has a pearl finish but not in the bad terms of it. It looks rather elegant and it was not tricky to apply. I applied 3 coats here to get full opacity and a nice and even look. Application was easy and flawless. The brush is a pro-wide type, with the same dimensions as an OPI brush. I wore it for 4 days without chipping. So I'm really pleased with this polish. The quality is really nice.
It's supposed to be a dupe for Chanel Pearl Drop. I don't have it but according to the pictures of Pearl Drop I've seen online, they indeed seem to be really close. You can find a list of Douglas-Chanel dupes here.

Purchase info
Douglas  Absolute Nails polishes can be purchased online at Douglas (German website for € 4.95 / 11 ml, Swiss website for CHF 6,90 / 11 ml) or in their local shops.
