Purple Professional

Hello~

I have a new brand that comes directly from Portugal to show you today and it's called "Purple Professional". No no, they don't do only purple polishes, that's just the name of the brand :D
Let's go directly to the pictures and I'll add my thoughts about them afterwards!
All pictures are 2 coats of polish, without top coat!

The first one that I got is number 15. It's a a muted and dirty teal creme polish. It dries to a glossy finish and was super easy to work with.

The second one is number 44 and is a bright, almost neon, pink. It's a bit funny because in the bottle, it looks like a darker berry shade, but once on the nails, it really pops! It's a very cheerful and summery color! It dries to a satin finish. This is probably due to the fact that it's almost a neon. I didn't use any top coat so that you can see the satin/matte finish.

And the last one is number 43, a vibrant coral leaning to the red side of coral. It's also a very pretty color, another way of wearing red polish.

The brush is very nice to use. It's a wide, thick brush. Each bottle contains 10 mL of polish.

I was really curious to try this brand as I haven't heard much about it. I've just heard of it from Betty who blog at Betty Nails and she was saying some great things about it.

This brand was a really nice surprise because the quality of the polishes is great. They are 3 Free, easy to apply, not streaky at all and have a good pigmentation. I used 2 coats here for all of them and didn't apply a top coat. I am really happy with the dusty teal because I don't have such polishes in my stash and I love the color. It might be close to OPI Thanks a Windmillion but I don't have it so I cannot compare them. The bright pink is so cheerful and easy to apply, I am pretty sure I'll wear it a lot!
If you have the opportunity to try this brand, don't hesitate because I'm sure you will love it! Their formula (at least the 3 polishes I tried) are just so perfect!

Sally Hansen Pedal To The Medal and More Crackle Love

Well I still love crackles so for today's manicure I used two coats on Sally Hansen Pedal To The Medal and then China Glaze Cracked Medallion on my index, middle and pinkie fingers. Then I used China Glaze Tarnished Gold on my thumb and ring finger. I finished this manicure off with a top coat of Seche Vite.

I used thin coats of the crackles because I wanted the base colour to show through and find that thinner coats allow the cracks to form better. I had to really shake up my bottles to mix my polish but after that I had no problems with the formula. It was smooth to apply and the crackles formed quickly and readily.

Just a few photos today and I was trying to really capture the contrast between the silver base and the metallic crackle.

The only natural light available to me for these photos :(

I was really happy with how this turned out because I was in the mood for a kind of molten metallics manicure and I think these polishes and shades came together really well. I have to remember to post Pedal To The Metal on its ownand see how the 'Complete Salon Manicure' works since it's supposed to have a top and base coat incorporated!

Saran wrap nails with Illamasqua

Hello!

I have seen a lot of lovely girls doing saran wrap/cling film manicures lately and I find it so pretty, I had to try!
So here we go :D

I used 2 coats of Illamasqua Wink as my base color, let it completely dry. I did it on all my nails. Then I grabbed some cling film and made a small ball out of it. When Wink was completely dry, I applied one coat (no need to apply it carefully) of Illamasqua Jo'mina and immediately dabbed the plastic ball onto my nail to remove some of Jo'mina an create this marble effect. You have to do one nail after the other because you want your last color to be still yet. I followed this tutorial here and took some pictures of the whole process ;D
It's super easy and fast!!

And thanks, Rachel from Polished Criminails, for sendig me Illamasqua Wink during our swap :D I love it!

Max Factor Red Carpet Glam

Get your glasses because we have a bright on today! Today I have Max Factor Red Carpet Glam from their MaxEffect mini polishes collection. I swatched this collection previous here and even then I was wowed by how bright this is!

I used one coat of Sally Hansen Triple Strong base coat and two coats Red Carpet Glam. This was very opaque with one coat but I'm a habitual two coater :) There was the smallest bit of VNL in real life but you can hardly see it in the pictures or from a distance. I finished it off with Revlon Colorstay top coat.

It's good that I chose such a bright polish because there was no sunshine for these photos :(

Max Factor Red Carpet Glam in Artificial Light
Max Factor Red Carpet Glam in the Shade

OMG!!! The entire time this was on my nails I was constantly looking at them because it was just so BRIGHT!! I actually put this on because I thought I haven't worn a red for ages and I wanted something that really shouted - I think I chose well :) What do you think?
